TEMCO (The Electric Materials Company) was founded in 1915 as a "copper works" and has since evolved into a leading electrical copper product supplier. From our inception over 85 years ago to our status today as a diversified design and manufacturing facility, TEMCO has remained committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and an exceptional product.

History of the TEMCO Facility

The original TEMCO facility occupied 15,000 square feet on Washington Street in North East, Pennsylvania. TEMCO's initial capital investment consisted of $100,000, and our original product lines included street railway repair parts and drop forgings. Over the last 85 years, we continually expanded both the TEMCO facility and our product lines, and the TEMCO plant of today covers 420,000 square feet and employs over 300 people working three shifts.

TEMCO Manufacturing Capabilities

TEMCO is unique in that we possess six manufacturing departments which work in conjunction with one another to offer a wide array of products to a variety of clients. Within the TEMCO departments our capabilities include extrusion, casting, forging, fabrication, brazing, commutator design and manufacturing, machining, electro-plating, and more.
